Regardless of gameplay style, league standing or account level; maximizing your in-game resources can prove very beneficial. Let's discuss:

✨ RESOURCES 101 ✨
There are several types of expendable game resources (rss) most of which the game breaks down into the following 8 categories
⬆️ This is the screen as you will see it in game. The focus of this guide is main game resource maximization. Resources mainly attributed to Atlas or Atlas Events will be discussed in a stand alone guide of its own.
LIST OF RESOURCES BY CATEGORY
I. SEASONAL
Seasonal Sigils-used for acquiring nodes along Seasonal lines
Seasonal Keys-used for acquiring a Seasonal Mythic Dragon
Seasonal Ascended Tokens-used for ascending the Seasonal Mythic Dragon
Sigils are acquired from Event prizes and opening chests. Sigils are spent to purchase nodes in Seasonal Branches. Keys and Tokens are acquired through seasonal nodes.
🔅NOTE: Any Resources listed in this category should be considered a limited time resource.
2. EVENT
Chests -Open in the Armory used to gain other valuable resources
Types of chests: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum (as well as some special seasonal chests-not included in Inventory screen, but visible in Armory screen)
Chests can be acquired from attacks, as Event prizes, traded for in the Trading Post, Seasonal Branches, Dragon Quests and found within drops from special chests depending on CHEST TYPE. Not all chests can be acquired all ways.

Energy Packs- used to provide energy (16) within regular game Events (also combined with Inner Fires to buy Mega Coins)
Packs can be acquired from Event Prizes, Seasonal Branches and found within chest drops. You can also purchase them within the Event menu during PvP events.
3. CRAFTING
Chisels-used to remove a rune/glyph from a dragon.
Acquired from prizes, Seasonal Branches and Limited Time Branches (LTB)
Crafting Gemstones-elemental gemstones used to craft and upgrade Ascendant rider gear.
Acquired from Seasonal Branches, Atlas Seasonal Branches, Trading Post and some chests.
Crafting Shards- elemental shards used to craft and upgrade all rider gear (except Ascendant)
Acquired from Seasonal Branches, Atlas Seasonal Branches and by attacking Atlas Beasts and some chests.
Crafting Scrolls-used to craft and upgrade all rider gear (except Ascendant)
Acquired from Seasonal Branches, Atlas Seasonal Branches and by attacking Beasts
Crafting Tombs-used to craft Ascendant rider gear.
Acquired from Seasonal Branches, Atlas Seasonal Branches and the Trading Post.
Relic Dust-used to level up bronze relics
Acquired from the Seasonal Branch.

30% Tower Attack-used on Monuments to boost tower attack 30%
Acquired from chests, destructibles and other ways such as crafting in the Forge

Black Pearls-used to level up Dragon Perches
Acquired from chests, Seasonal Branches, Trading Post and Fort Event Rewards
Bloodstones-used to build and level up specific Towers: Soul Drain, Nexus and Nullspire
Acquired from Seasonal Branches and Platinum chests
Boosts- 200% Boost for either Food or Lumber used at the Storage Hut to increase production
Acquired from chests, prizes, Seasonal Branches and can be crafted in the Forge
Cosmic Charges-used to build and level up certain towers:
Acquired from Seasonal Branches
Electrum Bars-used to build and level up Electrum Towers
Acquired from Seasonal Branches
Elemental Embers-used to build and level up Flak Towers
Acquired from chests, prizes, Seasonal Branches and Trading Post
Shards-elemental shards used to build and level up Turrets
Acquired from chests and Seasonal Branches
Lumber (stored)-a real time amount of lumber currently in your Storehouse used to build and upgrade buildings
Acquired from Lumber Mills, Lumber Packs and attacking other bases
Lumber Packs-variety of different pack values used to open/add lumber
Acquired from chests and prizes
Timers-variety of different timer speedup values used to speed up completion of tasks
Acquired from chests, prizes, missions, Seasonal Branches, destructibles and other places to include crafting in the Forge
6. DRAGON
30% Dragon Atk-equipped before battle, used to boost Dragon Attack
Acquired from many places including chests and destructibles
30% Dragon HP-equipped before battle, used to boost Dragon HP
Acquired from many places including chests and destructtibles
Food Packs-variety of different pack values used to open/add food
Acquired from chests and prizes
XP Potion-variety of different potion values used to give XP to dragons

Eggs-total number of eggs you have according to dragon tier-used to hatch dragons from that tier in the incubator

Egg Tokens-used to breed dragons
Acquired from missions, chests, prizes, Seasonal Branches , Daily bonuses/tributes, War prize
Healing Potion-used to heal your dragon to full health
Acquired from chests, prizes, destructibles, Dragon Quests and crafting in the Forge
Mystic Frags-used as an egg fragment from any dragon tier in the incubator
Acquired from chests and Seasonal Branches including LTBs
Inner Fire-equipped before battle used to earn extra Event points during PvP Events (also combined with Energy to buy Mega Coins)
Acquired from chests, prizes, Seasonal Branches and destructibles
XP Boost-100% or 200% XP boost added to dragon before battle- used to earn additional XP (experience) for that dragon
Acquired from chests, destructibles and crating in the Forge
7. RIDER
Blue Dragon Rider Shards-used to unlock and level up Dragon Riders

🔅NOTE: Not every resource can be found in the Inventory screen. Other resources such as equip-able dragon spells, Defense Gunpowder (swords) and Defense Hammer (hammers) equip-ables are also in the Forge.
🔍 Exploring the Forge is worthwhile
✨MAXIMIZING THOSE RESOURCES ✨
✨ In General:
⚜️Always claim ALL available Daily Rewards ✅ These are free resources!
⚜️Every time you log in, check your 🐉 Dragon Quests. Start any open Quests. ✅ This is an easy way to generate resources without much effort.
✨ To maximize ✨
📈 Only participate in the chest and 2 hour Quests. Trash the rest. (2 hour because it takes that long to reset the quest, so might as well get some food packs and have it reset anyway.)
📈 Gold and Platinum chests are the goal, but aren’t always available.
📈 Try to hatch every dragon available (seasonal too-festive, resurrected, legendary, etc) because even if the dragon is low level, you can utilize it for Quests.
📈 Open ALL slots so you have all 5 Quests running.
✨ If you get in the habit of doing this, you can easily earn several gold and platinum chests each season. ✨
⚜️$ Paying for an Elite Account. (not necessary, but compounds resources)
⚜️Utilize the Trading Post to trade current resources for high demand resources.
💰 ⚖️💎 Trading Post
Within the Trading Post you can trade your own resources with Reginald for his. Different resources are offered on different days. The second day of Trading Post offers great deals to trade for gemstones, elemental embers and black pearls, etc.
•For Crafting Gemstones you trade in the same element of Elemental Shards.
•For Elemental Embers you trade in Black Pearls.
•For Black Pearls you trade in Rune Dust.
-Always trade for the Gemstones.
-Always trade for the Elemental Embers.
•If you are low on Black Pearls to buy the Elemental Embers and have Rune Dust, then trade only for the minimum amount of pearls you’re lacking and save your dust for runes/glyphs.
🔅 Note: Some Events replace Gemstones with runes/glyphs.
⚜️Mission Balloons (always keep at the highest tier possible) Check every time you log into the game. Complete as soon as possible. ✅
•ALSO a way to “exchange” rubies for tokens (or timers) by grinding (repeatedly completing and resetting over and over again) missions with rubies.
⚜️Learn to utilize Double Armory.
📖What is Double Armory?
Double armory is only available during the Breed Event where Assault is also offered.
As both Events have their own Armory, you have the unique opportunity to choose which Armory to open your chests in.
Gold, Plat, Draconic and Special Seasonal chests are usually sequenced by the WD community as well as WDScripts having a sequencer available for paid subscriptions.
Once you know your personal sequence place, you can make very informed decisions on which Armory to open the chests depending upon which resources you want to focus on acquiring.
✨ PvP Events ⚔️ 🛡️
⚜️Always do your Team Quest.
⚜️Always claim Seasonal Dailies.
⚜️Optimize Inner Fires and Energy Packs. Sometimes grinding attacks in an Event is worth the extra time spent in game. Check points, Megas and Supers are not always the best use of resources. Budget them depending on personal and team goals.
⚜️Claim ALL reduced cost/free points you can. (RAID button and Guardians)
⚜️Remove Inner Fires from ALL dragons as soon as you end your last Event attack.
✨ BreedING 🐉 + 🐉 = 🥚
⚜️Finish the Egg Token Mission Bonus from the seasonal branch (minimum to 100%, but finish the branch for the full 200% if possible for best results) AND as early as possible. 🔅Note: This is especially useful for grinding egg tokens before and after breeding event -but it does not stack with Breed’s increase.
⚜️When egg token bonus is combined with an Elite Account, it yields much more than the standard token return.
⚜️When using tokens to breed research eggs, always consult a guide to help you manually choose the best dragon pairing (with the most discount).
⚜️Anytime you log into the game, complete ALL available Balloon Missions. 🔅 Tip for Mission Balloon: If you are grinding for egg tokens, clear every single tower but one from your base. This will influence your missions and make them much easier to fulfill. However-before removal-it’s recommended to take a quick screenshot of your base for reference later when adding everything back.
⚜️Breed only within an event to maximize prize rewards.
⚜️When breeding dragons to use for research eggs, jump forward one tier from the tier you need and back breed to gain more eggs quicker and cheaper.
✨ FortIFICATION 🪵 🏰
⚜️Always equip your very best Construction Rider for build discounts. (currently Crom, Amalia, Adriel)
⚜️Utilize websites and/or spreadsheets to plan your base efficiently.
⚜️Build only within an event to maximize prize rewards.
⚜️Use Merge Recipes to maximize resources.
📖What are Merge Recipes?
Merge recipes are specific lower level tower builds that, when combined, can conserve critical resources while still leveling up your current tower without using as many resources as a “normal” build. Merge recipes generally use one resource to save a more critical resource. (Be very careful of the XP deficit when merging towers)

This is guide only covers Main Game. There was just too much information when Atlas information was included. Therefore another, stand alone Guide will be created for maximizing Atlas resources.
This guide was written for all player levels and game styles. It is this Author’s hope that by maximizing resources, players might experience the small victories of a game well strategized.
